In this Photoshop tutorial you'll learn how to make nice wallpaper based on simple elements and easy steps.
This lesson I'll tell you how to represent an interesting collage, but for the beginning create a new file (File>New) of
1024x1023px with 72 dpi and fill it with black color, using the Paint Bucket Tool (G).

Find in Internet 5 pictures as those from below: a city's silhouette, the city, Earth, the cosmic fog and the sky with the clouds.

Put the picture with the cosmic image on our canvas:

Press Ctrl+M and set the contrast the same way demonstrated below:

You'll get the next picture:

Choose then on the layers' panel Create new fill or adjustment layer demonstrated below:

Select here Black & White selection. Set the next indicated parameters:

Choose after that on a new layer the Brush (B) with the next settings: black color, Opacity of 30%, 250 px and paint the bottom part of the canvas:

Next we'll place the photo with the sky on it, erasing its edges with the Eraser Tool (E), as it is indicated below:

Next we'll place the city's silhouette on our picture, changing its color with the usual Paint Bucket Tool (G). The color in this case is #777777.

Do the same operation, but turn around the city by horizontal position, applying the Free Transform (Ctrl+T) option without changing the color.

Move the photo with the city on our scene.

Cut it out:

Apply the correcting layer Black & White.

Set the mouse between this filter and the city, pressing in the same time Alt button. When appearing the necessary indicator, make a left mouse click.

The new layer should be painted with blue color (#3267A1) and then choose on the layers' panel the next option: (Blending mode-Color burn, Opacity-50%)

Paint on a new layer the city's area with white color, applying Opacity of 20%.

Cut out the Earth image ant place it on the picture:

Create a kind of shadow on a new layer, applying the brush of black color.

Create a new layer and paint here the bottom part of the city and everything that is below with black color.

Find and download out of Internet two pictures with the Earth represented on them: http://www.cgtextures.com
Move the picture with the fine ground.

We'll erase very accurately the layer just to get the same result from below:

The next photo should be placed now, changing its parameters on the layers' panel: Blending mode-Lighter Color, Opacity-60%.

The final result!

Very nice tutorial. Interesting to see how you went from the initial images to the final result. Also like your short and understandable explanations.

Wow... I mean just wow. I'll see this in my dreams again. This got to be one of the worst images I've ever seen.
Thx for the nightmare!
Nothing really fits together. Please, take some care of the lightning, composition and the color space.

How hard is it to add in there that you need to change the exposure for the buildings and the sky, you need to use match color, and for the sky going up into space you should have used a sky blue color to transparent
